A Weekend in San Francisco: Part 2

Let’s get to the wine.

First, if you missed Part I of our weekend in San Francisco, read about it here.

SATURDAY 10.10

Saturday we were up nice and early to make the drive to Napa. Okay, okay, it was 9:30 but that feels like 8:30 and it’s the weekend. We stopped by Equator Coffee (find location) on our way and it was such an adorable location. I got a cold brew- no surprises here.

Our first stop was Nicholson Ranch Winery. We had THE BEST host, Arthur. He was a perfectly hilarious man, likely in his 70s, who loved wine just as much as we did. He was incredibly generous and taught us all about the winery. If you’re headed to Napa, I highly recommend stopping by Nicholson and asking for Arthur! We even decided to check a bag so we could take a bottle with us. We’re supposed to wait 2 weeks for “settling” until we open it. Better believe I’m counting the days.

After Nicholson Ranch Winery, we headed into downtown Napa for our next reservation at St. Clair Brown Winery & Brewery. Imagine a small garden with a greenhouse bar and benches and tables scattered throughout. Since it was also a brewery, you could choose between the beer flight or one of three wine flights.

After St. Clair, we were hungryyyy. We walked over to Stone Brewing, also in downtown Napa and got a beer and some BBQ to round out the night.

SUNDAY 10.11

Sausalito. Yes.

All you need to know is that it feels like Europe and there are sailboats everywhere. If you go to SF, it is absolutely worth the drive across the bridge. Plus, you get to drive across the bridge!

Just before heading to the airport we stopped in the Marina neighborhood of San Francisco for some lunch at the Tipsy Pig. We were lucky enough to get a spot on their back patio and I had a delicious spicy salmon sandwich.
